Overview

Use these keyboard shortcuts to edit faster in the Reap editor. They work anywhere in the editor, except while you’re typing in a field.
On Mac, use Cmd and Option. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl and Alt. To see this list inside the editor, press ? or click the keyboard icon below the preview.

Playback

  • Play or pause: Space or Alt + Space
  • Step back one frame: ←
  • Step forward one frame: →
  • Loop playback: Alt + L
  • Mute or unmute: Alt + M

Editing

  • Undo: Cmd/Ctrl + Z
  • Redo: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z or Cmd/Ctrl + Y
  • Cut clip at playhead: Alt + S
  • Duplicate clip: Cmd/Ctrl + D
  • Delete clip: Delete or Backspace

Timeline

  • Zoom in: Alt + + or Alt + =
  • Zoom out: Alt + -
  • Zoom with scroll wheel: hold Cmd/Ctrl and scroll

Project

  • Save draft: Cmd/Ctrl + S

  • Show this list: ?

Notes

  • Cut, duplicate, and delete apply to the selected clip on the timeline.
  • If a shortcut does not respond, click inside the editor once and try again.
